MAXIM CHU received his integrated Masters (MEng) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from University College London (UCL) in 2025, graduating with First Class Honours. Expanding upon both his degree and academic/professional research experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning (ML), with particular emphasis on Bayesian optimisation and natural language processing (NLP), Maxim is now pursuing his PhD studies at the University of Cambridge. His doctoral research explores the implementation of advanced deep learning techniques for next-generation communication systems. Maxim’s broader research interests include energy-efficient analogue optical computing, free space optical communication, orbital angular momentum multiplexing and various ML techniques for signal processing.
