XINGKAI WANG received his Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Sydney in 2024 with First Class Honours. He subsequently completed his MRes degree in Photonic and Electronic Systems within the Centre for Doctoral Training joint programme at the University of Cambridge, on artificial-intelligence-based design for efficient terahertz antenna arrays. Xingkai is currently pursuing his PhD degree at the LRDC, focusing on grid-of-beam, optical wireless, multi-user access networks. His research interests include the application of deep learning techniques to enhance positioning and beam management accuracy in indoor optical wireless communication (OWC) systems, as well as optimisation of vertical cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSEL)-based transmitters for high-capacity optical wireless links.
