The LRDC collaborates with an extensive range of consortium partners – including leading universities, research and technology organisations (RTOs), and mid-sized to multinational companies in the UK and overseas – to bid for, and deliver, grant funded, trans-disciplinary projects that can deliver real-world impact. Research teams pool their knowledge, experience and expertise to develop and test new technologies, systems and products – based on the field of optical wireless communications – that enable industries to innovate, economies to thrive and societies to be more inclusive, while also contributing to net zero targets and the drive for clean energy.
